University Partnership Manager
Virtual Internships
• Building and managing a robust sales pipeline with deals ranging from $20k to $500k+. • Identifying, prospecting, and securing partnerships with new university clients across North, Central, and South America, focusing on both well-known institutions and emerging educational entities. • Developing and executing innovative sales strategies to rapidly expand our market presence over the next three years. • Achieving and surpassing sales targets and KPIs, contributing to both your financial success and the overall growth of VI.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a client-facing, revenue-driving, or partnership-focused role; prior Account Executive or sales experience is preferred but not required for candidates who demonstrate strong commercial instincts and a track record of ownership and results.
- Strong understanding of the higher education landscape across the Americas is highly valued, particularly experience working with universities, workforce development organizations, or education providers.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving early-stage environment. You are comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with a startup environment, and you are excited by the idea of working with a global team across 25+ countries.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Partnerships, Growth Marketing, and Operational teams) to work effectively in a remote and asynchronous environment.
- Building relationships should come easy to you – and you’ll love connecting with people.
- Willingness to travel - domestically and possibly internationally as needed. Given the current environment, you also bring an instinct of knowing when meetings should take place virtually versus in person.
- Legally able to work in home country without sponsorship.

What You Will Do: Revenue Cycle Performance & Optimization: - Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Denial Rates, AR Aging, and Net Collections. - Identify trends and implement solutions to optimize revenue collection and minimize delays. - Collaborate with internal billing, coding, and collections teams to ensure timely claims submission, payment posting, and follow-ups. - Address payer issues, clearinghouse rejection resolution, reimbursement challenges, and operational bottlenecks. - Perform root cause analysis and provider education as needed and required. Operational & Financial Oversight: - Develop and execute action plans to improve financial outcomes for clients. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, CMS, payer policies) and best practices. - Provide detailed Excel reporting and insights on revenue cycle health. - Partner with leadership to refine workflows and enhance efficiency. Issue Resolution & Process Improvement: - Investigate and resolve client issues related to claims, payments, or system inefficiencies. - Work cross-functionally with internal teams to drive process improvements. - Identify automation and technology enhancements to streamline operations. Client Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and stakeholders. - Provide ongoing education to clients on RCM processes, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Qualifications & Skills: - Experience: 5+ years in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or healthcare account management. Primary Care, Podiatry, Behavioral Health, and Skilled Nursing specialty knowledge, highly preferred. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, or equivalent years of professional experience. - Technical Skills: Familiarity with RCM software (e.g., NextGen, Athena, eClinicalWorks, Waystar), payer portals, Excel expertise, and reporting tools. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), insurance verification, and reimbursement processes. Knowledge and familiarity with special programs including ACO, CCM, BHI, APCM, etc. - Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. - Analytical Ability: Experience with financial reports, data analysis, and KPI tracking. - People Oversight: 3+ years’ experience in supervising staff and overseeing workflow functions. - Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment. - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
