• Work on platform maintenance, addressing the backlog of bug fixes and minor improvements • Implement new features, following the roadmap schedule in coordination with the Product Owner (PO) • Assist Support and Customer Success teams in resolving queries, participating in communication chats and meetings • Support the expansion of technical documentation together with the UX team and the PO
Job Requirements
- Solid experience developing with JavaScript and Vue.js
- Familiarity with the Fetch API and Vuex
- Knowledge of Clean Code principles and CSS
- Awareness of the need for unit and integration testing
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and XP
- Experience with Vite (advantage)
- Experience with Docker and Linux (advantage)

Role Description We’re looking for an ATAK Plugin Developer to join our gov team and own the development of SkyFi’s ATAK plugin, bringing satellite imagery search, ordering, and visualization capabilities directly into the hands of tactical operators. You’ll work at the intersection of Android development, geospatial data engineering, and defense technology, integrating SkyFi’s data into ATAK. This is a high-impact, technically deep role where your code ships directly to end users in operational environments. - Design, develop, and maintain the SkyFi-ATAK plugin, including archive imagery browsing, satellite tasking, and order management features - Integrate imagery search, metadata retrieval, tasking, pricing, and order placement - Build geospatial visualization layers including imagery overlays, AOI drawing tools, and measurement capabilities within ATAK’s MapView - Implement offline/cached imagery management for disconnected, denied, and intermittent (DDIL) environments - Work with geospatial data formats including GeoTIFF, COG, NITF, and STAC metadata standards - Develop operator-focused UX that is distinct from the commercial SkyFi web platform, optimized for tactical field use - Participate in sprint cycles with operator feedback loops and iterative feature delivery - Collaborate with government customers and participate in ATAK feature reviews and training delivery Qualifications - College graduate with a STEM degree (preferably in Computer Science) with solid computer science fundamentals - Direct experience developing ATAK plugins using the ATAK SDK - Strong understanding of the TAK ecosystem including CoT protocol, TAK Server integration, and plugin lifecycle management - Experience with geospatial data formats and standards: GeoTIFF, KML/KMZ, Shapefiles, WMS/WMTS, and coordinate reference systems (WGS84, MGRS, UTM) - Experience integrating REST APIs into Android applications, including authentication, pagination, and error handling - Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Gradle-based Android build systems - U.S. citizenship - Experience with satellite imagery workflows: archive search, tasking, feasibility, and order management is a plus - Familiarity with cloud-optimized geospatial formats (COG, STAC, NITF, TIFF) is a plus - Background in GEOINT, NGA standards, or prior military/IC experience with tactical ISR is a plus - Contributions to the TAK ecosystem or familiarity with TAK Product Center processes is a plus Benefits - Be well compensated.
