• Develop, maintain, and improve VyOS – Open source router and firewall platform using Next.js, Vercel, and DatoCMS. • Design and implement new site features and interactive components to enhance user experience and engagement. • Manage and optimize content models, schemas, and workflows within DatoCMS to support scalable content management. • Oversee and maintain CI/CD pipelines across Vercel, GitHub, and DatoCMS, ensuring smooth, automated builds and deployments. • Monitor site performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure uptime, speed, and responsiveness across devices. • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and product teams to translate business goals into effective digital experiences. • Stay current with web technologies, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve the site’s architecture and development workflow. • Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across the team.
Job Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
- Solid understanding of static site generation (SSG), server-side rendering (SSR), and API integration in Next.js.
- Hands-on experience with Vercel for deployment, hosting, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in DatoCMS, including schema design, content modeling, and integration.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts, particularly in workflows integrating GitHub, Vercel, and CMS systems.
- Understanding of web performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (e.g., npm, Yarn, ESLint, Prettier, and testing frameworks).
- Familiarity with UX/UI best practices and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and content creators.
- 5+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proven track record of managing and deploying Next.js projects in production environments.
- Experience maintaining and evolving CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of web platforms and deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.
- Prior experience working with open-source projects, developer communities, or technical audiences is a strong plus.
