Senior Backend Engineer
Weekday (YC W21)
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Core Python applications. • Provide leadership and guidance to the team as necessary. • Possess a deep understanding of Python architecture and its libraries. • Create efficient data-processing pipelines utilizing Pandas, NumPy, and other pertinent Python libraries. • Design and implement RESTful APIs that prioritize scalability and performance. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. • Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code in accordance with best practices. • Diagnose, debug, and improve existing applications. • Engage in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the development process.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of direct experience in Core Python development.
- Expertise in using Pandas, NumPy, and other data manipulation/processing libraries.
- Extensive experience in developing APIs (RESTful APIs).
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.
