Job Description
Software Engineer
Next Commerce
• Join our engineering team and actively contribute to our core ecommerce platform and integration apps • Work closely with our Product Owner to deliver new features and improvements for platform users • Work on and implement all things Django, including apps, models, templates, and REST APIs • Use Docker and Git to manage applications in your local development environment to run our various Django projects • Leverage Celery for backend task processing and AWS Cloudformation for our fully automated deployments • Write complex apps while maintaining a high level of unit test coverage to prevent feature regression • Perform code reviews and use Gitflow branching model to stay in sync with the engineering team • Follow agile development methodologies (Scrum) to take part in daily standup calls with our 2 week sprint cycles (fully remote via Slack)
Job Requirements
- 2+ years experience with any MVC web framework such as Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring, or .NET
- Ability to work in a web application stack and deliver quality code on the frontend and backend
- Experience with automated testing and maintaining high levels of code coverage
- Highly motivated and passionate about what you work on
- Be able to learn new things
- Love to do the research and make it happen
- Command of English is a plus to communicate with international team members
