Senior Totara Developer

• You take end-to-end responsibility for Totara development. • From frontend and backend to the design and integration of custom plugins. • You develop, customize and optimize Totara LMS solutions and implement client-specific requirements from our German-speaking customers in coordination with the Product Owners. • You integrate customers' existing software solutions into the LMS via APIs. • You ensure performance, security and code quality and continuously evolve existing Totara architectures. • You are a sparring partner for your colleagues: you conduct code reviews and provide technical support on complex topics.
Job Requirements
- Several years of experience developing with Totara LMS (or very strong Moodle knowledge).
- Experience with APIs, performance optimization and security best practices.
- Very good German language skills for coordinating and implementing requirements of our German-speaking clients.
- Independent, structured way of working and strong communication skills.
- Ability to implement existing concepts and to design your own solutions, with a high degree of initiative.
- High adaptability and enjoyment of agile collaboration with changing requirements.
- Nice to have: knowledge of openEQUELLA, Bitbucket, Jira.

Role Description Assist in the design and development of a large-scale distributed simulation system in an Agile development environment. This includes development of physical and behavioral models and user interfaces. Implement interfaces between this system and military C2 systems and other simulations in accordance with published standards. Responsibilities include: - Full lifecycle software development to include software requirements analysis, software design, software implementation, software integration and test, and system documentation. - Occasional travel and on-site support to the user community. Responsibilities: - Maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, with duties to write and update software code under contract and direction from contractor and government management. - Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization. - Provide improvements to existing software programs as necessary. - Design and develop unit and other tests. - Comply with, and participate in, program software development processes and practices, including meaningful participation in Agile development process events such as scrums and sprint reviews. - Operate collaboratively in a development team environment. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university or any bachelor’s and two years additional software development experience. - High school diploma and 5 years’ additional software development experience can substitute for bachelor’s degree. - Minimum 1 year total software development experience. - Agile software development. - Ability to test and debug. - Use of Git or similar version control system in compliance with program configuration management processes. - Ability to function in a distributed team. Preferred Experience/Qualifications - React development.
