• The Sr. Project Manager (SPM) will own the assigned projects in all aspects (planning, scheduling, budgets, billing, deliverables) and will lead them according to the documented Company Project Management Framework. • The SPM will be responsible for a number of many projects at any given time. • In addition, the SPM will build effective relationships with a diverse group of professionals (engineers, customers, IT Directors/VP’s, C-Level Executives, Sales Account Managers, operations personnel, etc.) both internally and externally.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years experience working within another VAR, contracting or consulting organization.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of PPDIOO methodology.
  • Must have relevant experience as a Project Manager interfacing with external clients.
  • Must be an experienced and accomplished project leader with ability to manage, scope, schedule and costs on all projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build professional/trusting relationships with teams and communicate with multiple levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver quality results under pressure constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills regarding project management issues. Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead diverse project teams and customers.
  • Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills including the ability to understand and present technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven ability to understand and seek the success of others.
  • Strong conflict negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and the complete Microsoft Office suite of business applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience with NetSuite (or other PM tracking tool) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with VPNs and cloud-based document storage applications.

About the opportunity SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our growing business in the Midwest USA. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental professional who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment and is passionate about multidisciplinary project management. Experience and qualifications for success Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Fish & Wildlife Science, Aquatics, or a related field. - Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental consulting, project management, and business development. - At least three (3) years of experience as a Project Manager, overseeing budgets, schedules, and project execution. - Proven experience in the Midwest USA, including familiarity with state-specific environmental regulations and permitting. - Experience working in a variety of states including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Great Lakes states. Additional Midwest, Northeast, or southeast state experience is also preferred. - Strong knowledge of federal (especially the US Fish and Wildlife Service), state, and local environmental laws (ESA, CWA, NEPA, etc.). - Experience with wetland delineations, mitigation planning, NEPA compliance, threatened and endangered species, ecological assessments, stormwater and watershed management, and resiliency and management. - Experience conducting environmental surveys, permitting, and field implementation for various projects.
