Managing Director – Germany

Ampowr

• Define and execute Ampowr’s Germany market strategy aligned with company objectives. • Identify and capture opportunities across the BESS value chain (project development, asset ownership, Energy-as-a-Service, EMS solutions). • Build Ampowr’s market positioning and brand presence in Germany. • Drive high-value commercial opportunities with large energy users, utilities, developers, and infrastructure players. • Build strategic partnerships with EPC contractors, developers, energy traders, and technology partners. • Lead negotiations for large-scale battery storage projects and long-term contracts. • Establish and scale Ampowr’s German organization, building a high-performance local sales and operations team. • Create a strong performance culture aligned with Ampowr’s mission and values. • Represent Ampowr in the German energy ecosystem, including regulators, industry bodies, and government stakeholders. • Monitor and influence regulatory and market developments impacting energy storage. • Represent Ampowr at industry conferences, policy forums, and strategic events. • Coordinate closely with Ampowr’s management team and headquarters on strategy, investments, and operational execution.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Renewables, Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field.
  • 10–15+ years experience in the energy sector, preferably in renewables, battery storage, energy infrastructure or flexibility markets.
  • Experience building and scaling a business unit, country operation, or new market, as a Business, Engineering or Financial director.
  • Strong network in the German energy ecosystem (utilities, developers, investors, grid operators, regulators).
  • Deep understanding of German energy markets, regulation, and energy transition trends.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Based in the West Germany region (Rhine Main / North Rhine-Westfalia).
  • Willingness to travel to the HQ in Utrecht as required.

Remote/Commuter Opportunity - Open to candidates within the United States Position Summary: The Associate Director of Advanced Analytics will have primary responsibility for all aspects of personal and non-personal promotion response analytics and brand deep dives across Lundbeck’s portfolio of products.
