Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of work experience in software development, including 2 years of recent experience in Node.js
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Knowing software development best practices, and clean coding principles (like SOLID, KISS, DRY, YAGNI) is a big plus
- Knows fundamentals of the web like the HTTP protocol, TSL/SSL, basic security best practices, performance, and optimization
- Being comfortable using databases like Postgres, MySQL, Redis
- Good English communication skills
- Experience in Nest.js, AWS, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated tests is a plus as well.

What Is The Role: We are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Elasticsearch - Distributed Systems team and focus on how Elasticsearch provides scale, performance, and resilience. This team owns how nodes in an Elasticsearch cluster communicate, and how data are indexed, allocated, and replicated across nodes. What You Will Be Doing: - Improving Elasticsearch’s components that support concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines. - Maintaining our cluster coordination system to keep performance high even though nodes come and go from the cluster and data moves around, while maintaining the safety and liveness properties of the system as a whole. - Pushing the limits on the number of shards, nodes, and petabytes that Elasticsearch can handle today - Looking into all kinds of issues, including performance or concurrency issues, and proposing solutions. - Supporting our support engineers with the harder problems. What You Bring: - A strong background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms. - You have strong skills in core Java and are conversant in the standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs, as well as newer language features. - You have a deep technical proficiency in algorithms. - You have shown your ability to understand and work on complex, highly distributed systems. - You demonstrate the ability to build and debug features with a broad impact, running on multiple machines. - You are able to own projects from beginning to end. Scope of Work: Capio Group is looking for an experienced API/Integration Developer to work as a part of the team on enhancing, replacing and integrating the client's existing legacy systems into a new modernized system. A solution that has at least one hundred (100) internal end users and one hundred thousand (100,000) external users, and a solution that provides a secure data exchange interface with multiple external systems. - Within the last ten (10) years, at least three (3) years of electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming experience must have been in a lead capacity. - Must possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. - Within the last ten (10) years, must have at least three (3) years of full-time working experience developing and deploying automated tools for database configuration, monitoring, and performance. - Within the last ten (10) years, must have at least three (3) years of full-time working experience designing and deploying cloud-native (Public, Private and On-premises) solutions using: (a) AWS, Azure, or GCP (b) CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) - Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on, operational experience with Data integration toolsets and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). - Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on, operational experience with NoSQL unstructured database managers in one or any combination(s) from the below list: (a) Cassandra (b) Hadoop (c) MongoDB - Must be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements upon request in the qualification form.
