Staff Full Stack Engineer
Assured
• Work across the stack, from backend APIs and infrastructure to frontend interfaces, launching and iterating on core product features. • Write and ship production-grade code that balances speed, quality, and scalability. • Collaborate with product and design to translate ideas and feedback into polished, user-centered experiences. • Lead and mentor other engineers, sharing knowledge and elevating the team’s technical bar. • Own the full lifecycle of features, from concept to mockup to deployment and iteration. • Contribute to architecture and process decisions that improve developer velocity and system reliability.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience (preferably in SaaS or large-scale web applications).
- Proven experience designing and building complex, performant, and reliable systems end-to-end.
- Strong product and design sensibility, you care about user experience and product polish as much as backend scalability.
- Collaborative mindset, you thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy working closely with product, design, and engineering peers.
- Not required: Specific framework or stack experience. We value adaptability and problem-solving over tools.

Role Description As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience building real-world systems that power our platform. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn modern tools and frameworks used in production environments. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants to apply their academic experience to real-world challenges. - Contribute to the development of features and improvements across our platform using technologies like TypeScript, React, Golang, Python, and AWS. - Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to bring ideas to life. - Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and design sessions to learn engineering best practices. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with guidance from mentors. - Debug issues, write tests, and help improve system reliability and performance. - Learn how scalable systems are built, including exposure to: - APIs and backend services - Frontend applications (web and mobile) - Databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) - Cloud infrastructure (AWS, serverless/Lambda) - Contribute to one or more of our teams: - Logistics / hub software - Consumer products (Returnista iOS app, Returns Portal) - Merchant & location dashboards Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, or systems). - Experience writing code through: - Coursework - Personal projects - Internships or hackathons (optional, not required) - Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, etc.). - Interest in full-stack development, backend systems, or frontend applications. - Ability to learn quickly, ask questions, and seek feedback. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Comfortable working in a collaborative, remote environment.
