Senior Clojure Engineer – AI Platform
Staffer
• Design and develop backend systems in Clojure powering Vera's core intelligence and orchestration capabilities • Build the infrastructure that enables shared context, reasoning, coordination, and decision support across multiple AI products • Work across the stack where needed; our frontend is built with Datastar, not a traditional React/JS setup • Contribute to technical direction, architecture decisions, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing across a senior engineering environment
Job Requirements
- Deep, senior-level Clojure expertise - you know the ecosystem, not just the syntax
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query performance, and real-world operational experience
- Experience with Integrant for system architecture and Temporal for workflow orchestration is strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with Datastar on the frontend side
- Familiarity with Lisp-family languages (Common Lisp, Scheme, Racket) is a plus
- A strong systems thinker who values clean, performant code and enjoys solving complex product and architecture problems with autonomy and ownership
