This position is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who can balance detailed financial oversight with strategic advisory responsibilities. The Controller will manage accounting teams, ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, provide accurate financial reporting, and support executive decision-making through data-driven insights. Responsibilities: Month-End & Year-End Close: - Lead close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness (5-day close standard). - Review reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts. - Approve journal entries for payroll, depreciation, and intercompany adjustments. - Deliver consolidated financial packages including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Financial Reporting & Analysis: - Prepare GAAP/IFRS-compliant financial statements. - Provide variance analyses with clear executive-level commentary. - Support board and investor reporting requirements with dashboards and summaries. Internal Controls & Compliance: - Design and maintain internal control frameworks. - Ensure regulatory and tax compliance across jurisdictions. - Manage external audit process and deliver PBC schedules. Budgeting & Forecasting Support: - Partner with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and capital allocation models. - Provide actionable recommendations based on variance analyses. Treasury & Cash Management: - Monitor liquidity and working capital. - Oversee debt compliance, credit lines, and cash planning. Team Leadership: - Supervise, mentor, and review work from accountants and bookkeepers. - Build team capacity and enforce quality standards. Process Improvement: - Drive ERP implementations/migrations. - Automate workflows and strengthen SOPs for scale. Required Experience & Skills (Minimum): - Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related. - 7+ years progressive accounting/finance experience. - 2+ years supervisory/leadership. - ERP proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise). - Advanced Excel/Google Sheets. Ideal Experience & Skills: - CPA/ACCA/MBA. - Prior Controller or Finance Manager role in mid-market companies. - ERP implementation/M&A integration. - SaaS, professional services, or real estate exposure. - BI/dashboard reporting (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). Nemours is looking to hire a Post Award Specialist, Senior. The Sr. Post Award Specialist provides post-award services/oversight to help Nemours research investigators administer the awards after they are received. The Sr. Post Award Specialist is a senior level position that acts as a liaison between the Principal Investigator (PI), Sponsored Projects Administration(SPA), Sponsored Projects Donation Accounting (SPDA), The OSP Award Specialist II is responsible for providing services in various aspects of the proposal preparation phase, including interpretation of the sponsoring agency's guidelines, budget development, gathering documentation to support sub awards and subcontracts, coordination of required approvals, and assisting in the regulatory requirements. Incumbent is responsible for the oversight and management of assigned PI research portfolios in terms of reviewing expenditures, reconciling award financials (budget, expense, and revenue), providing proactive financial information including projections, resolving financial discrepancies, reviewing and submitting cost transfers, and managing the award closeout process. The Sr. Post Award Specialist is responsible for helping manage a research portfolio of approximately $15M in internal and extramural funding/expenditures and to serve as a subject matter expert within the Post Award department for problem resolution for PI’s, Nemours associates, and external entities as needed. This is a remote position.
