Sales Engineer – Functional & Machinery Safety

• Take responsibility for solution-oriented sales of consulting and engineering services in the field of machinery safety • Act as a technically proficient point of contact on equal footing with development, safety and production stakeholders • Support clients from the initial analysis through to implementation of standards-compliant safety solutions • Provide consultative sales for machinery safety solutions including functional safety, CE conformity and safety-related automation • Analyze customer requirements in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in industrial production • Identify new business opportunities and systematically expand existing customer relationships • Develop, price and negotiate technical proposals and project scopes • Work closely with internal engineering and safety experts • Support customer projects across the entire sales and project lifecycle • Monitor the market and competitors in the field of machinery safety and standards development

Job Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of experience in technical B2B sales or in a consulting-related role within the machinery safety domain
  • Solid knowledge or practical experience with machinery safety and functional safety standards (e.g. EN ISO 12100, EN ISO 13849, EN IEC 62061)
  • Experience with CE conformity assessment and risk assessment
  • Ability to explain complex technical and normative issues clearly and in a customer-oriented manner
  • Confident presence with strong consulting and negotiation skills
  • German at native level, fluent English
  • Willingness to travel in connection with customer projects
