Analyst, Tax Technology – Exemption Certificate Management
DMA - DuCharme, McMillen & Associates
• Perform detailed tax data analysis, exemption certificate management, and process optimization. • Support client projects by ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining accurate documentation. • Leverage tax technology solutions and collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve complex issues. • Analyze client data to ensure compliance with tax laws and internal standards. • Assist with Exemption Certificate Management Solution configuration (Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters) for client projects. • Monitor and resolve client requests; provide timely and professional communication. • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and project documentation. • Support data transformation workflows and troubleshoot issues using tax technology tools. • Assist with process and impact analysis to identify improvements and recommend solutions. • Provide system monitoring and break/fix support for tax solutions. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field required.
- 1+ years of professional experience in tax, accounting, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills preferred.
- Familiarity with indirect tax lifecycle and exemption certificate processes.
- Experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource) and ERP systems a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
