Site Reliability Engineer

Sweep

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement automated infrastructure • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure for the Sweep Data platform • Support critical infrastructure scaling projects • Facilitate collaboration within the SRE guild • Manage day-to-day operations including on-call duties • Implement security measures and data protection protocols • Continuously improve and learn about industry trends and technologies

Job Requirements

  • Engineering degree in computer science or 3+ years of DevOps/SRE experience
  • Good knowledge of AWS (including ECS/Fargate), Docker, Terraform, PostgreSQL at scale
  • Datadog expertise strongly preferred
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Experience with high-traffic, multi-tenant systems and database scaling strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in data modeling, database design, and data management
  • Strong operational mindset with experience in day-to-day production operations
  • Experience with on-call rotations and production incident management
  • Understanding of clean code and clean infrastructure practices
  • Fluency in English; French is a plus

Role Description We are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will: - Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation systems. - Work closely with development teams to improve reliability, scalability, and delivery velocity across our suite of .NET applications and services. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise across AWS cloud services, containerization, and modern DevOps tooling, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are core values. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering role. - Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation or Terraform. - Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks. - Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, specifically Docker. - Experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems in production environments. - Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or equivalent. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and management. - Experience with artifact repository management. - Demonstrated experience building fault-tolerant systems.
