Assystem
Role Description We are seeking an experienced Primavera P6 Administrator to support a major, multi-year rail infrastructure programme. In this key role, you will ensure the smooth operation, optimisation, and integrity of our enterprise-level Primavera P6 environment, enabling our planning and project controls teams to deliver safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. - Managing and administering the full Primavera P6 environment (EPPM and P6 Professional). - Configuring user access, roles, permissions, and security profiles. - Overseeing database management including backups, recovery procedures, and performance optimisation. - Providing hands-on support to project teams for scheduling, reporting, and system troubleshooting. - Developing and maintaining global standards, templates, coding structures, and workflows. - Monitoring system performance and implementing continual improvements. - Supporting integrations between P6 and wider enterprise systems such as ERP and BI platforms. - Delivering training, guidance, and ongoing support to planners, schedulers, and project managers. - Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across all project portfolios. - Creating, customising, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and KPI visualisations. - Supporting software upgrades, patches, testing, and system migrations. Qualifications - Proven experience administering Primavera P6 (EPPM and/or Professional). - Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling principles. - Experience with database management (Oracle / SQL Server preferred). - Knowledge of project controls processes (cost, risk, and scheduling). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with system integrations and APIs is an advantage. - Proficiency in reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel advanced functions). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, IT, or related field. - Primavera P6 certification (preferred). - Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, PMP) are advantageous. • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of energy access projects where geospatial technologies are applied, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget • Act as the primary point of contact for VIDA’s customers and partners/stakeholders, including governments, donors, development partners, and local institutions • Ensure clear documentation, reporting, and communication across all project phases • Coordinate cross-functional delivery with VIDA’s Data Solutions team (Data Scientists) and other internal contributors • Translate partner needs into clear scopes, workplans, and technical requirements • Plan and track Data Solutions workstreams (e.g., analyses, datasets, QA, inputs to platform configuration) against project milestones • Facilitate prioritization, trade-offs, and risk mitigation with internal team leads and project stakeholders • Build and maintain strong relationships with mainly Francophone government institutions, development agencies, and private sector stakeholders (mainly in Africa) • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and meetings to ensure alignment and adoption of project outcomes — primarily in French for Francophone country engagements • Oversee integration of GIS and data science methods into project design and execution • Support the collection, validation, and analysis of geospatial data • Collaborate with data science teams to ensure analyses inform decision-making (e.g., least-cost electrification, national electrification strategies and plans, mini-grid viability analysis, etc.) • Ensure project outputs (VIDA software and data products, reports) meet technical quality standards and are accessible to end-users • Track progress toward deliverables and provide timely project updates to management and partners • Ensure compliance with client requirements • Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for diverse audiences
