Job Description

Electrotechnical Engineer – Grid Integration (BESS)

• Do you want to actively shape the energy transition? As an Electrotechnical Engineer (m/f/d) for Grid Integration, you will actively design the grid connection of our large-scale battery storage projects! • You evaluate sites, develop technical concepts, and ensure our BESS plants are safely and efficiently connected to the power grid. • Provide technical support for project development: assess grid-connection feasibility for potential sites, identify technical risks, and prepare preliminary designs & cost estimates for grid connection stations and substations. • Conduct technical coordination with grid operators: clarify TAB requirements and obtain feasibility confirmations. • Sizing and design of medium-voltage and high-voltage systems (grid connection stations, substations, switchgear, transformers). • Coordinate external engineering partners and suppliers. • Coordinate acceptance & commissioning.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering, Electrical Energy Systems) or equivalent
  • Experience with medium-/high-voltage switchgear — ideally in development, engineering, or project development
  • Solid knowledge of protection and metering technology
  • Experience communicating with grid operators — able to conduct technical pre-coordination and interpret TAB
  • VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 (MV) and ideally VDE-AR-N 4130 (HV) / TAR High Voltage
  • German fluent, English business fluent
