Job Description

IT Cyber Security Manager

Symbotic Inc.

• Protect assets and reduce risk across both public cloud infrastructure and physical warehouse operations. • Ensure effective controls are implemented, adhering to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards. • Collaborate with DevOps, IT Operations, and Warehouse Operations teams to build a security-first culture. • Use cloud-native security tools to detect threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations. • Lead technical implementation of security controls required for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification. • Review and promote adherence to security policies, ensuring they are practical and enforced. • Automate security control evidence for compliance/audit purposes. • Evaluate third-party software and logistics hardware vendors. • Collaborate with network engineers to secure infrastructure at warehouses locations. • Implement security protocols for warehouse technologies. • Manage and audit physical and logical access controls for warehouse staff. • Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM) to ensure secure authentication for users, apps, devices, and cloud resources. • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure effective SAST/DAST scanning of repos and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years in Information Security or Network Engineering.
  • Deep practical knowledge of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks; you have likely been through an audit before.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and experience securing physical locations (branch offices or warehouses).
  • Hands-on experience with major public cloud vendors, cloud security principles, and toolsets.
  • Ability to balance strict security requirements with the need for efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSP, or CEH.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or supply chain logistics.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
  • Proven track record working in a fast-paced startup environment; ability to context-switch and manage competing priorities effectively.

The Cyber security Engineer at Danaher will be responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining security tools, ensuring they meet evolving business and security requirements. This position reports to the Director of Architecture, Engineering and Operations and is part of the Cybersecurity Engineering team working remotely to cover global operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Design, develop, and maintain the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and all associated modules, including Falcon, FEM and Identity. - Collaborate efficiently with Danaher cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality. - Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities to improve platform performance and security. - Address complex technical challenges by delivering robust and scalable solutions. - Partner with stakeholders to uphold Zero Trust security principles, securing identity, device, and access management. The essential requirements of the job include: - Possess 5+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in architecting, designing, and deploying high-performance cybersecurity platforms. - Advanced expertise in scripting for networking and cybersecurity tools, including performance optimization, repository management, and API automation, with strong knowledge of core networking and systems fundamentals (TCP/IP, packet inspection, DNS, DHCP, and configuration management). - Possesses extensive experience with SaaS deployments managed by MSSPs, including successfully handling projects involving more than 50,000 assets. - Proficient in CrowdStrike Falcon EDR or Identity solution. - Experienced in managing large-scale environments comprising over 50,000 assets and multiple policy configurations.
