• Support the Director in executing the Thought Leader Engagement Strategy across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s broader oncology business objectives • Develop, Implement, and Support Thought Leader Strategy within region with regional advisory board meetings, special engagements, congress planning, engagement with HCPs, and special projects • Lead and co-lead the materials approval process (PRC), including job code creation, resource approval, and field resource deployment • Oversee the performance of regional speaker programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maximizing HCP engagement in collaboration with Peer-to-Peer Marketing Manager • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, medical, and external agencies, to ensure seamless execution of regional initiatives • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring timely execution of plans, adherence to timelines, and accurate financial reporting • Coordinate and support medical expert engagements at medical conferences, ensuring collaboration with relevant functions for a seamless HCP experience • Partner with relevant teams to roll out national marketing resources and adapt them to capitalize on regional opportunities • Co-lead agency partners to ensure adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and PRC submission accuracy • Educate Medical Experts on strategic brand priorities, fostering strong professional relationships that drive brand success

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 1 year in marketing or medical affairs
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an advanced nurse practitioner or pharmacist in oncology, with at least 3 years in sales or marketing in healthcare
  • Sales Leadership, TLL, Account Management
  • Experience in the oncology, rare disease. Thoracic Oncology a plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships, influence without authority, and lead peers inclusively
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to collate insights and provide strategic recommendations
  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively on regional engagement plans
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including domestic travel for office visits, field time, internal meetings, and conferences
  • Valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join the TTR team and support Alnylam’s commitment to advancing the science and care of patients with transthyretin (TTR) amyloidosis. Patients often experience prolonged diagnostic journeys; this role is an opportunity to help elevate disease understanding and support evidence-based clinical decision-making through high-quality scientific exchange. The MSL will be principally responsible for building and sustaining scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and other healthcare professionals within an assigned geography. The MSL will identify and address unmet medical education needs, deliver balanced scientific information (including mechanism of action and emerging clinical data), and gather actionable medical insights to inform internal stakeholders.
