Role Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to support an Australian-based concreting company. This role focuses on preparing accurate estimates for concrete works across residential, commercial, and/or civil projects. You’ll play a key role in analysing project requirements, producing competitive tenders, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality concrete construction projects. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs for concrete works (e.g., slabs, footings, driveways, pavements, formwork, reinforcement) - Review project drawings, engineering plans, and specifications - Perform quantity take-offs for concrete volumes, reinforcement, and formwork - Source pricing for materials, labour, plant, and subcontractors - Prepare and submit tenders and quotations in line with project requirements - Identify risks, cost variations, and value engineering opportunities - Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for accurate pricing - Maintain and update cost databases and estimation templates - Assist with project handover to operations team upon award Qualifications - Proven experience as an Estimator within the concreting or construction industry - Strong understanding of concrete works, including slabs, footings, and structural elements - Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings - Experience with take-off and estimating tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Buildsoft, or similar) - Solid numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills - High attention to detail and accuracy - Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely Requirements - Looking for Philippines-based candidates - Compensation range: $1,100 - $1,200 AUD/month - Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement - Work Schedule: This role is expected to require 20 hours per week (with a potential to move to 40 hours per week). Role Description We are looking for an experienced Virtual Assistant to work with us on an ongoing basis as an Operations Co-Ordinator for the UK Visa Programme. You will be working closely with our Operations Manager to support the administration of one of our busy specialist services. This role involves, but is not limited to: - Ensuring that applicants have provided all the necessary information required - Following up with applicants to check details and request any missing information - Reviewing applications to ensure they are complete before advancing them to the Ops Manager - Reviewing executive summaries and business plans to estimate business viability and scalability - Researching competitors for each client’s sector and ensuring there is a market need and the clients’ business has a point of difference - Preparing contractual paperwork and invoices - Working with Google Sheets to track application progress - Using Google Drive - Docs and Sheets to maintain an efficient filing system - Communicating with Regional Directors to arrange meetings and gather feedback afterwards You need to be confident, highly organized, flexible, and familiar with business documentation. You will know what a business plan is, be able to recognize relevant sections such as competitor analysis, executive summaries, and financial reports. You will know how to raise an invoice (with a template provided) and be able to fill in the blanks to create a contract. Having a business degree would be preferred. Your email communication will be excellent and timely, you will be able to show initiative by working well on your own but also know when to check and get approvals. This is an exciting and varied role with lots of activity.
