Accounting Associate
Zotec Partners
• Oversee financial data for multiple companies, maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations • Manage workflow to ensure all accounting transactions are processed accurately and timely • Perform daily accounting department operations and data entry processing • Reconcile bank statements • Administer proper general ledger coding of transactions • Process payroll and reimbursement transactions • Research and professionally communicate with appropriate audiences • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices • Prepare filings such as Federal Forms 1099/1096 and tangible property tax reports • Reconcile payroll tax filings to general ledger activity • Identify and resolve discrepancies • Respond to routine client and management inquiries in a timely and professional manner • Participate in professional development activities • Import, sync and post bank transactions in QuickBooks daily • Schedule and process Retirement Plan contributions • Adhoc Projects as Needed • Be flexible with changes in management style to meet the needs of this demanding client
Job Requirements
- Proficient in excel including v-lookups, pivot tables and general formulas
- Proficient in exporting reports from QB Desktop and creating workbooks utilizing above from excel
- Experience with entering and making payments in Bill.com
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- 5 or more years of accounting and financial administration experience
- Advanced hands-on utilization of QuickBooks Desktop, payroll applications, payable applications (Bill.com, etc.) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proven ability to work independently and remotely while delivering a high-quality work product
- Established ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work as a team player, build and foster professional relationships and to quickly adapt to change
- Flexible to perform other duties and work on special projects as opportunities arise
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
