Data Infrastructure Engineer, Snowflake

• Administer and support Snowflake environments (availability, performance, reliability) • Own day-to-day operations: user/role management, access controls, warehouse/resource governance • Performance tuning: query analysis, clustering strategy, workload optimization, and monitoring bottlenecks • Cost management: warehouse sizing, schedules, resource monitors, usage analysis, optimization initiatives • Data governance support: retention policies, data lifecycle, compliance-aligned controls and auditing • Incident response and troubleshooting: identify root causes, implement long-term fixes • Establish and maintain operational standards: runbooks, documentation, and change management • Collaborate with Data/Analytics teams on best practices for modeling, ingestion, and usage patterns • Support integrations (ETL/ELT tools, BI tools, data pipelines) from a platform reliability perspective
Job Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and operations
- Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts: compute vs storage, concurrency, workload patterns
- Experience with access control and governance (RBAC, auditing, security best practices)
- Ability to analyze performance and cost drivers (queries, warehouses, clustering, caching behavior)
- Practical SQL expertise and ability to read/interpret complex workloads
- Experience with automation (SQL scripting, Python, Terraform or similar) is a strong plus
- Strong communication skills for cross-team work (Engineering/Data/Finance/Security)
- English B2+ (written and spoken)

Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation across our IT and OT environments. This role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and system orchestration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
