Operations Research Scientist

• Model and document operations processes to better understand how to approach improving them • Work alongside Engineering and Operations teams to better understand issues and communicate plans and solutions • Develop custom optimization algorithms to solve critical operations and logistics use cases • Develop metrics to best measure effectiveness of a solution • Perform data analysis to understand anomalies or aberrations • Integrate and deploy solutions into existing operations systems

Job Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years proven experience as an operations researcher or equivalent role
  • Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end operations research production processes, including data modeling, algorithm development, testing, and metric tracking
  • Strong experience using optimization packages such as CPLEX, Gurobi and OR-Tools
  • Strong experience using programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python to implement optimization models
  • Proficiency in SQL and data processing skills, with exposure/experience with dbt a strong plus
  • Experience in data visualization tools (ex. Sigma, Tableau)
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms and deployment patterns
  • Ability to communicate with business partners and drive for solutions to complex and abstract problems
  • Effectively communicate, and seek to understand and be understood.

About the Organization: The GM AV Simulation team builds world-class testing and analysis related products and technologies to enable GM to accelerate development of autonomous vehicles as well as general vehicle software development. Job Summary As a Senior Designated CTI Analyst (DCA) on the Unit 42 CTI Services Delivery Team, you will play a critical role in helping evolve the client’s cyber threat intelligence operations. Key to this role is understanding customer intelligence and business priorities and developing tailored cyber threat intelligence findings and capabilities to drive their security outcomes. Qualifications Required Qualifications - Minimum of 7 years of experience in the cyber threat intelligence (CTI) field with a specialized focus on intelligence engineering and threat research. - Strong understanding of security tooling, including the underlying data structures and complex data flows required for modern defense. - Strong ability to architect scalable solutions to process, deduplicate, and enrich threat data, ensuring all intelligence is accurately tagged and discoverable by analytic end users. - Knowledge of cyber threat actors, noteworthy attacks, and the ability to quickly recognize shifts or deviations from threat activity baselines.
