As a Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager, you will be tasked to establish, grow, and manage online presence in a way that aligns with renowned firms such as McKinsey & Company. This role will focus on transforming complex insights, frameworks, and white papers into engaging, accessible, and high-impact thought leadership content across multiple social platforms. This is a strategic and execution-focused role. What You'll Be Doing: - Content Transformation & Thought Leadership: - Convert the founder’s work (white papers, frameworks, models, client outcomes) into: - LinkedIn thought leadership posts - Long-form articles (Medium, website blog) - Short-form social content (X, Instagram, Facebook) - Technical snippets for GitHub - Video scripts for short-form content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn video) - Reddit threads and community discussions - Simplify and communicate complex concepts (AI transformation, digital strategy, Blue Ocean principles) into clear, digestible language without losing depth. - Ensure consistency in tone of voice, messaging, and brand narrative across all channels. - Social Media & Community Management: - Set up, optimize, and manage all key social channels: - LinkedIn - Facebook - Medium - X (Twitter) - GitHub - Instagram - TikTok - Reddit - Create engaging posts, banners, thumbnails, captions, and supporting visual content (in collaboration with the corporate designer). - Schedule content, maintain a posting calendar, and ensure a strong, consistent online presence. - Respond to comments, questions, and DMs to foster meaningful engagement with the community. - Identify and participate in relevant online groups, forums, and conversations. - Strategic Communications: - Develop a multi-platform content strategy aligned with the company’s positioning and upcoming milestones (especially Davos 2026). - Build and manage a pre-Davos communications plan to elevate the founder’s visibility and authority leading up to the event. - Monitor industry trends and integrate them into the content strategy. - Work with the designer to maintain a cohesive visual identity across platforms. Qualifications - Strong experience in corporate communications, content marketing, B2B technology, consulting, or digital strategy. - Strong ability to engage C-suite and enterprise audiences effectively. - Proven track record in building thought leadership for founders or senior executives. - Familiarity with AI, digital transformation, or technology strategy. - Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives. - Proficiency in content repurposing across multiple formats and channels. - Strong understanding of social media platforms and audience engagement. - Solid project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders and maintain brand consistency. Role Description This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging communications professional to grow rapidly alongside a senior communications and stakeholder engagement expert supporting a senior leader at the U.S. Department of Energy. The right candidate will gain broad exposure to the full spectrum of government communications work — from high-stakes memos and stakeholder correspondence to communications planning and cross-office coordination — all in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment. The Communications Specialist supporting the Department of Energy will be responsible for: - Shadowing the senior communications consultant in meetings, absorbing best practices and contributing where directed. - Tracking and managing assignments, action items, and deadlines on behalf of the senior consultant. - Maintaining and proactively updating status tracking spreadsheets for communications products and more with precision and consistency, to keep the efforts of multiple offices moving forward. - Supporting a wide variety of communications products, including written materials, briefings, and coordination documents. - Drafting and helping to review emails, newsletter content and other communications products for higher-level approvals and distribution. - Serving as a liaison and point of contact across multiple offices under the DOE leader’s portfolio. - Adapting quickly to shifting priorities and manage competing tasks in a dynamic environment.
