Electrical Engineer, Electrical Planner, Data Center Planning

• Holistic conception of complex data center projects from initial idea through to implementation • Definition of project objectives and execution of detailed requirements analysis • Project management and detailed design of electrical systems, in particular medium- and low-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, standby power systems (generators) and transformers • Preparation of wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical drawings for electrical installations • Performing technical calculations such as short-circuit and selectivity calculations, as well as lighting design • Developing sustainable solutions to optimize power supply and energy efficiency (Power Usage Effectiveness – PUE) • Documentation and quality assurance in accordance with project-specific requirements and applicable standards and regulations (e.g., VDE, DIN)

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Diploma, Bachelor or Master)
  • Several years of professional experience in planning and implementing power supply projects, ideally in critical infrastructure environments (data centers)
  • Cross-discipline technical understanding (particularly the interfaces with HVAC and building automation)
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and guidelines (e.g., VDE series)
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and tools (e.g., Simaris, WSCAD or EPLAN)
  • Willingness to travel (Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Munich areas) and possession of a driving licence class B
