Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in data entry, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding
  • Understanding of freight forwarding processes and shipment documentation
  • Familiarity with bonded cargo and U.S. inbond processing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data under tight deadlines
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and logistics systems

The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and managing retail customer orders within company systems. This role supports daily operations by ensuring order details are complete, accurate, and processed within established timelines. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, this role reviews incoming orders, determines order type and priority, and enters orders into the appropriate systems. The role also includes identifying and resolving discrepancies and working with internal teams to keep orders moving efficiently. Success requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to manage high-volume work while maintaining accuracy and quality. This is a remote, work-at-home position. What You’ll Do Order Processing & Data Entry (95%) - Review incoming order submissions and determine appropriate order type and system routing - Assess order priority based on defined SLAs and business requirements - Accurately enter and update orders in the appropriate systems (ERP, order management systems, AS400) - Review order details (SKUs, pricing, quantities, size breakdowns) to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies - Manage high-volume order entry while meeting SLAs and turnaround expectations - Maintain accurate records of order activity and follow up on incomplete or pending orders - Follow established processes, documentation standards, and system workflows Communication & Support (5%) - Reach out to appropriate teams to resolve incomplete or incorrect order information - Communicate effectively to ensure timely resolution of order-related issues - Provide updates on order status as needed - Work with team members and leadership to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time What You’ll Need - High School Diploma or equivalent required - 2+ years of data or order entry experience required - Strong typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy - Experience working in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets - Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively - A home-office environment that is ergonomically sound and conducive to taking customer calls, internet connection, USB wired headset, DUAL monitors, router, modem, webcam, and a computer system that meets VIPdesk Connect policies and maintenance requirements, including system upgrades as applicable, which may change over time - Currently reside in AR, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NC, NM, NV, OH, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WI Preferred Qualification - Experience with retail order entry, including multi-line orders and size scale management - Experience working within order management systems - Experience with AS400 and Zendesk preferred - Experience working within SLA-driven or high-volume environments WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS - Reliable and consistent in attendance, with the ability to meet scheduled hours and deadlines - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including seasonal peaks - Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy - Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment - Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous improvement $16 - $16 an hour Rate for the Order Entry Specialist, Level : $16 per hour Our benefits package for full time team members includes, but are not limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, and life insurance. Title: Museum Assistant I - Part Time Location: Aiken United States Job Description: Description Part-time staff member at the Aiken County Historical Museum for weekends and special events that will work a minimum of 10 hours per week. This part-time staff member will work every Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm, excepting designated Aiken County governmental holidays. This position also has the opportunity to work additional hours for special events, such as evening rentals during the week and on the weekends.
