Senior Security Engineer
Gaming Laboratories International, LLC
• Secure the Protocol: Be the ultimate authority on the security of 0G’s core blockchain architecture and consensus mechanism. Lead threat modeling, design reviews, and vulnerability assessments to protect the network's integrity. • Guard the Ecosystem: Own the security of 0G’s smart contracts and critical infrastructure. Conduct and oversee audits, establish developer security standards, and build tools to protect the entire application layer. • Defend and Respond: Build and run our security operations. Implement monitoring, lead incident response, and ensure the resilience of our network and internal systems against attacks. • Embed Security Everywhere: Foster a strong security culture. Integrate security into the development lifecycle, educate engineers, and choose tooling that makes building securely the default.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on blockchain/Web3 security.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in smart contract security, including vulnerability assessment, mitigation, and mastery of tools like Slither, Foundry, or similar.
- Proven experience securing complex distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus algorithms, cryptography, and the Web3 threat landscape (e.g., reentrancy, oracle manipulation, validator attacks).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Rust, Solidity, or Python for both review and tool-building.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security audits from design to production.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
