Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer
ARES Consulting GmbH
• Driving Germany’s digital transformation with a focus on secure, scalable and future-proof cloud platforms. • Actively working in project teams for clients across various industries. • Analyzing customer requirements and deriving viable technical solution approaches. • Designing, building and further developing modern cloud and platform architectures with a focus on Kubernetes in a private-cloud context, as well as with selected public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS). • Architecting and designing scalable, secure and maintainable system landscapes. • Building and operating container platforms with Docker and Kubernetes. • Automating CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing and release cycles, e.g., with GitLab, ArgoCD or Azure DevOps. • Designing and implementing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). • Evaluating existing architectures and presenting recommendations for action. • Coaching team members on cloud and platform topics. • Contributing to internal ARES projects.
Job Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in IT.
- Several years of experience in cloud or platform environments, particularly in private-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, as well as Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT).
- Relevant experience in a DevOps environment.
- Experience designing cloud and platform architectures (IaaS/PaaS).
- IT security is part of your daily practice.
- Ideally, you have initial experience in consulting.
- You work independently, are customer-oriented, communicative and enjoy working in a team.
- You are motivated to quickly get up to speed on new topics and to take on responsibility.
- Willingness to travel within Germany (on average max. 3 days/month).
- Very good German and English skills.
- Willingness to undergo security clearance (SÜ1 or SÜ2) under the Security Clearance Act (SÜG).
