Senior Clojure Engineer
Staffer
• Own and evolve key parts of Marketer's backend, written in Clojure, built for scale and speed • Design and ship GraphQL APIs, integrating closely with Hasura and a Postgres-oriented architecture • Implement workflow orchestration using Temporal, coordinating async systems and events reliably • Work deeply with Postgres, optimizing queries and ensuring DB performance at scale • Build, maintain, and scale microservices that integrate seamlessly across our platform • Influence architecture, patterns, and tooling - your voice matters
Job Requirements
- Are fluent in Clojure, especially for production backend systems - not just side projects
- Have shipped and maintained GraphQL APIs
- Know your way around advanced PostgreSQL: triggers, generated columns, performance tuning, etc.
- Think functionally - immutability and pure functions are second nature
- Have built and debugged distributed systems and workflows before, ideally using Temporal or similar orchestration tools
- Are comfortable working solo, with full trust and high expectations
- Bonus: You have experience with ClojureScript or Dart - full-stack flexibility is always welcome.
