Estimating Engineer
Element Logic®
• Lead the budget process by coordinating with internal project teams and external vendors to develop detailed cost estimates for material handling system integration projects. • Identify and communicate risks of cost overruns for pricing consideration. • Analyze active and completed projects and apply findings to improve the estimating process. • Develop preliminary project schedules with input from internal project teams and external vendors. • Develop high-level rough order of magnitude pricing for projects by leveraging rules of thumb and historical data. • Create RFQs (Requests for Quotes) for equipment and services to solicit bids from vendors. • Present project budgets to sales and leadership. • Maintain awareness of current market conditions that affect pricing and lead times. • Review RFP documentation, quotes, drawings, and other relevant documents to ensure pricing accounts for project requirements. • Lead the hand-off of project budgets to the implementation team. • Assist sales teams with the creation of sales proposals and presentations as needed.
Job Requirements
- A 4-year / BS degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in project cost estimating, project controls, procurement, project management, or engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with Dynamics F&O or other ERP systems is not required but is a plus.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Project is not required but is a plus.
- Amount of travel: Travel 2 – 4 times per year.
- US visa is required.
- Valid passport.
- Advance English proficiency (C1–C2 level) is required.
