- Excellent spoken French (C2)
- Good command of English (minimum B2)

Role Description The Credit Specialist will originate and manage key client relationships across the Mexican renewable energy ecosystem. This includes developers, IPPs, EPCs, and equipment manufacturers operating in the mini-grid, C and I, and rooftop solar segments. The role combines client ownership, transaction execution, and credit support. You will work closely with internal credit, procurement, legal, and operations teams to structure, execute, and manage transactions from origination through repayment. The role will report to the Country Director - Mexico. Responsibilities - Serve as the senior relationship contact for Odyssey’s Supply Chain Credit (SCC) clients, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and positioning Odyssey as their preferred supply chain finance partner. - Lead and manage the due diligence process, preparing comprehensive credit memos and presenting findings to the Investment Committee for approval. - Support local and global leadership teams with day-to-day client relationship management and assist in vendor and partner engagement activities to strengthen long-term business relationships. - Oversee the execution of transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely billing and collections. - Collaborate with internal teams to implement business development initiatives that build partnerships across the renewable energy ecosystem and onboard new clients. - Ensure adherence to internal procedures throughout customer onboarding and ongoing client interactions. - Participate in regular internal and external meetings, providing updates on business performance, client relationships, and market opportunities. - Follow up on meeting outcomes and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of agreed actions. - Maintain up-to-date deal pipelines and client databases to support efficient management reporting and decision-making. - Monitor industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to inform strategic business planning and enhance Odyssey’s competitive positioning. Qualifications - Graduate or postgraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus. - Three to seven years of experience in client relationship management, SME lending, supply chain finance, or trade finance. - Strong financial analysis skills including borrower due diligence and Excel-based modelling. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. - Comfortable setting priorities independently and managing a dynamic workload. - Strong execution mindset with high attention to detail and process discipline. - Collaborative team player able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
