Middle Full-Stack Web Engineer – Node.js, Vue

• Maintain and develop the main website; • Gain a deep understanding of the current website architecture and functionality; • Build new functionality related to trials, licensing, and checkout flows; • Work with marketing to launch landing pages and product campaigns; • Set up and maintain pre-designed web assets such as banners and pop-ups; • Support email marketing infrastructure including Sendy and MailChimp configuration; • Help migrate marketing automations from MailChimp to Sendy over time; • Improve website performance and page load speed; • Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase; • Contribute to other web projects within the company; • Propose improvements to the architecture when needed; • Refactor legacy code where it improves stability or performance; • Develop new features while maintaining the stability of the platform.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a Full Stack Developer role or similar positions;
- Proficiency in developing web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks such as SvelteKit or Vue.js;
- Strong skills in TypeScript and VanillaJS;
- Extensive knowledge of Node.js for server-side programming;
- English proficiency at B1+ level (for reading documentation and written communication);
- Experience with S3 buckets or similar systems;
- Experience working with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis;
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs;
- Solid understanding of front-end optimization techniques and the web rendering process;
- Experience with Docker and Docker-compose for containerization and deployment;
- Advanced skills in front-end development using Tailwind CSS;
- Strong understanding of application architecture and software design principles;
- Ability to collaborate closely with product and marketing teams on website improvements and experiments;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to clearly communicate technical topics with both technical and non-technical teammates.

Summary of Role As a Software Development Engineer III at Palmetto, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling critical data ingestion pipelines and 3rd party integrations that connect hundreds of thousands of solar energy and HVAC systems to our platform. Working primarily with NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Google Cloud Spanner, you'll architect and maintain robust integrations with third-party manufacturer APIs that power downstream systems across the entire company.You'll work hands-on building resilient microservices, designing event-driven architectures, and solving complex problems around data consistency and data ingestion at enterprise scale. Your work will directly impact product teams, analytics, customer support, operations, and business intelligence systems that depend on reliable, mission-critical data.
