BMS Commissioning Engineer

FPC Global

• Lead and support commissioning delivery with a specialist focus on BMS/BAS controls across complex commercial, technology, and mission-critical data center facilities • Act as the lead Controls Commissioning Engineer across multiple technically complex international projects • Building Systems Integration SCADA, PMS, PLC legacy and leading edge control systems expertise • BMS - Cloud Integration Data Management & Security Testing & Troubleshooting • Develop for controls systems: Pre-functional checklists (PFCs), Functional test procedures (FTPs), Integrated system test (IST) scripts

Job Requirements

  • Electrical Certification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)
  • Manufacturer certification (Tridium, Trend, Distech etc)
  • Proven experience commissioning controls in high-availability Tier III/Tier IV data centers
  • Ability to analyse data center control loop stability, temperature gradients, load transitions, and emergency mode responses
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Familiarity with data center networking architecture for controls, including redundant BACnet/IP networks and failover communication paths
  • Proficient in BMS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus & LoRaWAN
  • IP Networking (IPV4, IPV6, Switching, Routing, DHCP, WiFi, Structured Cabling, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and controls schematics.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, especially under time-critical commissioning conditions

Role Description WSDOT is currently seeking multiple Assistant Office Engineers in Wenatchee, WA. This role supports the Project Engineering Office (PEO) by contributing to the construction engineering process and ensuring proper documentation of project records. Each position ensures highway construction projects comply with project specifications, standard plans, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and directly supports WSDOT’s mission to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant transportation infrastructure. A top candidate will demonstrate contract administration and documentation accuracy, technical and analytical proficiency, and effective communication and collaboration skills. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. During the construction season, the position may require: - Extended hours - Weekend work - Night shifts - Overtime Work is generally performed indoors in an office environment. Occasional outdoor work may be required at project sites and active construction work zones. Daily travel within the region to project sites may be required, as well as occasional travel to off-site meetings or training across the state. Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Assistant Office Engineer will: - Prepare monthly progress estimates, construction reports, and various administrative documents, including force account rates, change orders, and contract records. - Support contract closeout, material documentation, and overall construction administration, utilizing Unifier for the administration of construction contracts. - Check and compute field note records for use in calculating project quantities and payments. - Review contract records, enter and check contract computer ledger entries, and review contract material submittals for conformance to requirements. - Assist or direct others in documenting construction activities, including materials verification, field note records, and DBE tracking. - Perform inspections at project sites, measure and record material quantities, and visually inspect material installations for conformance with contract plans and specifications. - Coordinate with contractor representatives regarding schedule and clarify questions pertaining to contract documents and prepare and coordinate contract estimates and final records. - Perform drafting and design using CADD and support design project scheduling using Primavera P6.
