Quality Engineer

S&P Global

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies across UI, API, and database layers to ensure end-to-end product quality. • Build and maintain robust automated test frameworks using modern tools, directly contributing to faster release cycles and improved product reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to implement shift-left testing practices and catch defects early in the development lifecycle. • Lead data validation initiatives using SQL and database technologies, ensuring data integrity across complex financial systems. • Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, mentoring team members and contributing to quality engineering best practices. • Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews, providing quality-focused insights that shape product development decisions.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing or development with strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for test automation development.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for web application testing.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL or other database languages for test data management and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in test case design and execution.
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance testing tools like K6, Artillery, or LoadRunner for scalability validation.
  • Exposure to Business Process Management platforms such as Appian, PowerApps, or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Tester (CSTE).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field.
