The Staff Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping technical direction, driving architectural consistency, and solving the organization’s most complex engineering challenges. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with long-term business and product strategy. As a technical subject matter expert (SME), the Staff Engineer operates across teams and domains, influencing design decisions, elevating engineering standards, and providing guidance on complex system design and implementation. This role brings a forward-looking perspective, identifying risks, opportunities, and improvements that strengthen the overall platform and developer experience. The Staff Engineer partners closely with the CTO and Head of Architecture to translate strategic priorities into executable technical solutions, ensuring alignment across systems and teams. Ability to work with frontend and backend systems is a plus. - Experience working in a SaaS, healthcare technology/IT, or healthcare B2B environment highly preferred - Experience working in a startup environment is desirable
