Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES The Contracts Manager is expected to be able to: - Manage the contract lifecycle for contracts and subcontracts, including negotiation, correspondence, documentation, and reporting - Review RFPs and support proposal development and submission. - Respond to complex inquiries and issues regarding contractual obligations - Review and negotiate agreements to include NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, etc. - Identify risks and issues and suggest solutions. - Communicate contractual requirements with executives, business units and departments - Support other departments responsible for engaging and working with subcontractors. - Correspond with the government, partners, and industry suppliers - Perform other tasks as necessary to support various business lines REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Ten (10) years' experience as a contracts manager - Experience managing employees or staff - Advanced knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and other agency regulations - Advanced knowledge of all contract types, including Cost-Type contracts - Effectively able to communicate with executive and management level individuals through written and verbal communication - Bachelors Degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - CFCM or CPCM certification preferred - Law degree preferred - Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred Overview We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team supporting TekSynap's Contracts Department in Reston, VA (with the ability to work remotely). The Patent Agent/Senior Patent Agent will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Research and is responsible for leading all aspects of Contineum Therapeutic’s global patent strategy and operations. This role partners closely with Research & Development, Legal, and executive leadership to identify, protect, and maximize the value of innovations across the product life cycle. The position combines strategic portfolio development, worldwide patent prosecution oversight, IP risk management, transaction support, and operational leadership of IP systems and processes. The successful candidate will be both a strategic thought partner and a hands-on leader capable of driving high-quality execution in a fast-paced biotech environment. This role may be hybrid in San Diego, CA or remote on the West Coast of the United States with 20% travel to the San Diego office.
