Role Description The Structural Engineer will lead structural engineering efforts for large, multidisciplinary infrastructure and building projects. The role is responsible for end-to-end structural design and implementation, rigorous compliance with international and local standards, and close coordination with architects, project managers, and other disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. - Lead and mentor structural engineers and designers across all project phases. - Set and execute structural design strategies aligned with scope, schedule, and goals. - Oversee structural design for buildings, stations, admin facilities, and service structures. - Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements. - Use advanced engineering software and digital workflows to optimize design and documentation. - Coordinate with architects, project managers, and other disciplines to integrate designs. - Join regular coordination meetings and report progress, risks, and mitigations. - Align with external consultants and contractors to resolve interfaces and deliverables. - Implement quality control to ensure accurate, constructible, reliable outputs. - Run design reviews and audits to identify issues and drive corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international codes and standards. - Stay current on industry trends, materials, and methods to improve outcomes. - Manage budgets and resources and pursue value engineering without compromising safety. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of structural design experience, ideally including transportation or complex infrastructure/building projects. - Demonstrated success delivering and managing large scale, multidisciplinary engineering projects. - Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross functional collaboration. - Proficiency with structural design and BIM/analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD.Pro (or equivalents). - Familiarity with relevant international and railway engineering standards; ability to apply applicable local codes and global best practices. Job Responsibilities - Establishes, maintains and updates training material for site contracts lead team and site contract negotiators. - Serves as subject matter expert within the organization equipped to help resolve global site contracting issues, and escalation point within the Company for internal customers to seek assistance. - Oversees negotiations of clinical study agreements (CTA´s) on a study level and drives CTA document finalization and execution, including contractual language & terms, financial attachments, and investigator grant budgets in collaboration with a global team of site contract & budget negotiators. - Provides oversight of contact & budget negotiations status and manages escalation of out-of-parameter queries on budgetary and contractual requests to sponsor decision-makers in all regions of study conduct.
