The Role We are looking for a Senior Medical School Admissions Consultant who is an experienced physician with a deep understanding of the medical school admissions process. If you’re passionate about mentoring and guiding future physicians through medical school applications, this could be the perfect fit. In this role, you’ll work closely with students to build medical school application strategies, refine their personal statements, prepare for medical school interviews, and support them in choosing the right medical schools and programs. You’ll be a trusted coach throughout the med school admissions process, helping students present their strongest selves and gain admission to their top-choice medical schools. This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. • Evaluate medical information to clarify diagnoses, evaluating the severity of medical conditions, validating medical restrictions and limitations, and estimating duration of recovery • Clarify, interpret and/or evaluate medical information to assess appropriateness of current and ongoing restrictions / limitations and level of impairment • Identify pertinent clinical facts and answers questions in collaboration with benefits specialists and physician consultants. • Act as a clinical resource to Group Protection claim professionals during claim meetings and as needed • Recommend specific medical information needed to evaluate ongoing level of impairment and to facilitate optimal claim management • Make appropriate referrals to internal and external clinical resources (i.e. IME, FCE, Peer Reviews) • Discuss complex medical issues with health care providers as needed and documents outcomes of discussion • Coordinate and partner with Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinators (VRC) and others to support with return-to-work services • Effectively manages assigned caseload within department productivity goals • Contacts claimants, employers, and health care providers, as indicated

• Provide virtual care and support to adult members via 30-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging around: • Parental leave and return to work (and how to discuss these topics with management team) • Balancing career and parenthood • Resume review and coaching on how to tell your story • Career transitions and job loss • Manager training, leadership development, time management • Capture encounter summary documentation in our practice management system, MPractice • Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team to ensure member needs are met, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups • Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model, providing culturally humble care and championing our belief that better outcomes for women and families mean a better world for everyone
