We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to perform complex financial analysis and planning to assist management in establishing and controlling budgets, setting financial goals, making projections and meeting fiscal objectives. Perform financial and planning activities in support of various functions, e.g., budgeting, financial planning, revenue and expenditure monitoring against budget, reconciliations and changes, and consolidation. Extract financial data from various accounting and information systems and generate reports. Perform complex statistical cost and financial analysis of reports and data and prepare reports for management to improve financial performance and compliance. Provide data-based recommendations on critical financial business decisions. Specific Duties & Responsibilities - Interpret data, and review data prepared by others, to evaluate and determine past financial performance and/or make financial projections and assist management in making overall business decisions. - Analyze, coordinate and consolidate departmental financial information for the development of the department/divisional annual operating and/or capital budgets and five-year plan. - Analyze, extract, and define relevant complex financial data; plan and conduct complex studies to determine cost and financial results of business activities and improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the unit, department, or division. Review financial needs and explore alternative financing methods. - Make budget adjustments and implement cost improvement measures. Use appropriate cost rates, such as indirect and benefit rates for proposed budgets. Prepare and present budget proposals to senior management. - Create financial systems, structures, and controls for a variety of processes that provide tracking, validation, and reporting. Implement quality control and process improvements for overall business process. - Review proposed operating and financial plans, including proposed program increases, estimated costs and expenses to finance proposed programs. Recommend course of action to improve financial performance. - Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures proposals, profit plans, operating records and financial statements. - Oversee moderately complex to complex budget accounts. Provide oversight for the expenditure of funds, ensuring that funds are expended appropriately and advise stakeholders on required action to resolve funding shortfalls. - Keep abreast of laws and regulations that impact compliance and act as a resource for administrative and financial staff. - Utilize comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and the university's financial accounting system to ensure internal and external compliance. - Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. - Perform other related duties as requested. Technical qualifications and specialized certifications - Strong analytical and modeling capabilities, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, business or related field. - Five years of progressively responsible related financial experience. - Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. • Lead monthly and annual revenue forecasting and long-range planning. • Build and maintain revenue models that support scenario planning and business decision making. • Identify risks and opportunities relative to budget and forecast, proactively communicating impacts. • Oversee reconciliation of monthly revenue actuals, including review of invoicing and accruals and cash collections by client. • Partner closely with the India shared services center to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue related entries. • Deliver monthly revenue reporting, variance analysis, and clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and senior leadership to align revenue expectations. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations accounting standards, and internal controls while proactively mitigating financial. • Manage and develop one direct report, providing coaching, support, and performance feedback. • Strengthen processes, controls, and documentation across the full revenue cycle. • Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge assumptions as the business evolves.

• Submit and process vendor and supplier invoices into the finance system accurately and within established timelines. • Verify invoice details against supporting documents, match invoices with purchase orders (POs), and ensure accuracy of amounts, tax calculations, and coding. • Identify and flag discrepancies or mismatches; collaborate with internal stakeholders or vendors to resolve issues before final approval. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of submitted invoices, approvals, and payment statuses. • Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices, rejected submissions, or pending approvals to ensure timely processing. • Assist with reconciliations, accruals, and other ad-hoc tasks as needed during month-end close. • Contribute ideas to streamline invoice workflows and improve efficiency.
