Senior Database Administration Analyst
Conduent
• Supporting Database Administration for business-critical applications in Single/Multitenant Architecture • Administrating Oracle Databases on different operating systems including but not limited to: Linux and Windows • Installing/Upgrading and Configuring Oracle Server 12c/19c/21c on multi node systems to meet Availability SLAs • Configuring and maintaining Oracle Cloud Control • Implementing backup strategy to meet SLAs • Having the ability to implement Security Best Practices to meet compliance requirements • Developing and supporting database maintenance scripts • Developing and maintaining database design and support documentation • Having the ability to configure Oracle HA options, including ADG, FSFO and GoldenGate • Providing 24x7 on-call support
Job Requirements
- Have 8+ years’ experience in Oracle Database Administration of 12c/19c/21c Oracle 12c Grid Control, GoldenGate
- Have working experience with Linux operating system
- Have working experience with Oracle GI & RAC administration
- Have solid Unix scripting experience using BASH/Python
- Have ability to work with a team, be a problem solver as well as communicator

Purpose of the Job The Database Engineer Specialist designs, implements, optimizes, and maintains complex database systems that support our financial services platforms. The Specialist will have deep expertise in relational and non-relational databases, data security, and performance tuning, with a strong understanding of financial industry compliance and high-availability requirements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Designs and implements scalable and secure database solutions to support financial transactions, risk analytics, and reporting platforms. - Maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots production databases to ensure high performance, availability, and disaster recovery preparedness. - Collaborates with data engineers and developers to design efficient data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and distribution of financial data. - Implements and enforces data security, encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms to meet regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS). - Analyzes query performance, fine-tunes indexes, and optimizes stored procedures to meet SLAs for financial applications. - Develops scripts for database deployment, migration, backups, and monitoring using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash. - Works closely with software developers, data scientists, and business analysts to support application development and data analytics. Other Duties and Responsibilities - Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.
