You will navigate complex lawsuits and contribute to various legal proceedings including mediations and arbitrations. Your expertise will ensure that we remain informed about evolving laws, while working closely with business clients and legal teams. As an integral part of the legal team, you will find yourself thriving in a challenging yet rewarding environment. - Represents insured individuals and the company in bodily injury and property damage lawsuits. - Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations. - Drafts and presents pre- and post-trial motions proficiently. - Collaborates with colleagues to resolve scheduling conflicts. - Advises business clients on legal matters on a day-to-day basis. - Manages legal projects and ensures team collaboration. - Stays updated on new laws and regulations impacting legal strategies. Qualifications - Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the state bar. - 3+ years of proven litigation experience or relevant skills. - Experience as first or second chair in jury trials. - Familiarity with insurance defense is a plus. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and online legal research. - Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with legal professionals. - Capacity to manage a substantial caseload and work remotely.
