Senior Event Planner

• Lead logistical pre-event planning, onsite execution and post event wrap-up • Effectively negotiate contracts for hotels, venues and vendors • Plan, select and manage all food and beverage for events • Source and oversee vendors for all production and audio-visual elements for events • Develop and manage project timelines and action plans • Interface with internal marketing teams and external vendors • Produce pre-event communications and post-event analysis • Manage registration and logistics for various events • Evaluate and update or establish procedures for event activities • Mentor less experienced employees in event planning

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience
  • BS or BA degree in Event Management, Hospitality & Tourism Management or equivalent
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
  • Extensive understanding and application of event planning principles, concepts, practices and industry standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Comfortable embracing new technologies and digital tools
