Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience designing software products, with a compelling portfolio showcasing thoughtful, user-centered designs
- A self-starter with an owner mindset who thrives in an early-stage startup environment with ambiguity and resource constraints
- Experience building products with reusable component design across multiple applications
- Strong listening skills to capture ideas from stakeholders, engineers, and the product team
- An open mindset to feedback and the ability to take constructive criticism to improve designs

• Lead the entire design thinking process for significant parts of our multi-platform product suite (consumer, B2B2C, and internal business tools) • Contribute to the growth of the product design function while building and communicating best practices across the organization • Work directly with our Head of Product Design and Product, Engineering, and Tax Analyst leads to prioritize initiatives to ensure we are solving the right problems • Ensure flawless, pixel perfect execution across all areas of the design process while keeping an eye on the bigger picture • Regularly conduct research to ensure we are continuously improving the product experience by gathering qualitative and quantitative insights via user research • Measure and contribute to business level objectives and key results by ensuring every piece of work you touch is adding value for both the user and the business • Partner with the marketing team to ensure our solutions align with our users’ voice and the april brand
• Design end-to-end product experiences, including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI screens for Simbian’s web-based security tools using Figma, Vercel and similar platforms. • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to simplify complex information, ensuring key workflows are intuitive for security users. • Enhance product usability by organizing information clearly, selecting optimal layouts, and refining interactive elements like buttons, labels, and states. • Evolve Simbian’s design system specifically for security operations, creating specialized components and patterns for dashboards, tables, timelines, and multi-step workflows. • Develop diverse visual assets, including social media creatives, presentation decks, one-pagers, and graphics for marketing campaigns and events. • Manage the Simbian website, designing page layouts and visuals to ensure the site remains clear, consistent, and on-brand. • Maintain the core design system, including typography, colors, and components, to ensure a unified look across both product and marketing materials. • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality designs on schedule. • Iterate rapidly based on feedback to ensure all final designs are polished and production-ready.
