Title: Billing & Invoicing Analyst Location: Remote in US What is the role? The Billing & Invoicing Analyst is responsible for supporting billing activities within the US Regional Business Service Center. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in the preparation and delivery of client and carrier invoices. The Analyst works closely with account management and accounting teams to coordinate payment terms, resolve issues, and maintain strong financial controls. What will you be doing? Invoice Management - Request, review, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of client and carrier invoices. - Coordinate billing allocations based on client and carrier instructions. - Process fee agreements and manage internal fee allocations in alignment with client and carrier requirements. - Calculate surplus lines tax obligations accurately and in accordance with state regulations. Financial Coordination & Compliance - Align with accounting to confirm carrier payment terms and ensure smooth payment processing. - Coordinate and maintain SOX compliance documentation to support billing and audit requirements. - Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies related to billing and payments. Premium Finance & Audit Support - Request and obtain premium finance quotes for viable accounts. - Review carrier audits for accuracy and partner on corrective actions as needed. Key Skills & Competencies - Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and record-keeping systems. - Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurately preparing and verifying documentation for applications and compliance. - Financial Acumen: Understanding of billing practices, allocations, and premium financing processes. - Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with account teams, accounting, and carriers to resolve issues. - Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and audit requirements. - Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and billing/insurance systems (e.g. Epic, AMS360, or similar) - Problem-Solving: Skilled at investigating discrepancies and identifying corrective actions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience. - 2+ years of billing, accounting, or insurance operations experience. - Familiarity with insurance billing practices, fee agreements, and premium financing preferred. - Knowledge of SOX controls or financial compliance processes a plus Compensation and Benefits The expected base salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000; actual base salary will be determined based on factors including candidate experience and work location. This role is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). In addition to a competitive base salary, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
