We do Consulting Differently BRG is actively seeking a full-time Application Analyst. The Application Analyst will serve as a resident expert on the suite of BRG’s enterprise applications. This role will work closely with BRG’s Accounting, Finance, HR, and Legal teams to understand their business objectives, pain points, and business process, and support, adapt, configure, secure, and enhance the applications used by these groups. The Application Analyst will also interface with BRG IT and third-party consultants to assist in this goal. The Application Analyst will report to the Application Manager. Candidates wishing to be based in a BRG office will benefit by working from Emeryville, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, or Washington, DC. BRG also welcomes candidates who wish to work remotely. Primary Duties: - Understand business and technical processes and problems by working with stakeholders and subject matter experts. - Gain and maintain relationships with our corporate staff, and strong knowledge of key corporate functions. - Maintain, troubleshoot, and remediate applications and related issues. - Provide Tier 3 support for enterprise systems. - Evaluate and propose potential technical solutions and options to solve problems or improve functions. - Plan and execute application installations, upgrades, adjustments. - Create and maintain knowledgebase of existing software and data environments, and standard operating procedures. - Research and development of patterns and best practices - Technical writing and technical documentation. - General system maintenance and downtime for relevant data systems - Meet regularly with business users and stakeholders; understand their business processes and technical needs. - Evaluate existing systems, tools, and possible new vendor applications or features solve business problems. - Ensure application and data security. - Participate in IT change management processes, especially relating to the roll-out of new applications or modules. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or Finance or relevant experience. - 2+ years of experience in applications analysis, system integration, or software support - Prior experience working in a legal or professional services environment (preferred). - Demonstrated domain expertise in supporting large software systems and the needs of a large customer base. - Strong Experience with IT services and general Windows stack environment (Active Directory, etc), Microsoft Entra ID. - Experience with administration of SaaS (Cloud based) solutions. - Experience with IT customer support, and ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow. - Experience with Workday (HCM and FIN), particularly Workday Security models (preferred). - Experience with Intapp products, such as Intapp Time/ Intapp Conflicts/ Intapp Walls (preferred). - Experience with document management systems (e.g., iManage or NetDocuments) (preferred). - Strong organizational skills. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences. - Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
