Job Description

Part-Time Field Sales & Education Opportunity (Sephora)

AKT London

Working Arrangement This opportunity is a part-time, casual employment engagement arranged through a third-party agency, who will be your employer of record and is responsible for onboarding, payment, and compliance. Contractors will represent AKT in partner retail locations, supporting in-store brand activations, customer engagement, and product education. AKT will manage your scheduling and work locations. AKT will provide brand resources and product information to support retail representation in stores. About The Brand AKT (pronounced "act") is The Personal Performance Company with multi award-winning body care that may change your life. Founded by West End stars Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, AKT is by and for those who are "Born to Perform" — on the stage, at work, or in life. In 2020, The Deodorant Balm made its stunning debut to rave reviews and awards from Vogue, GQ, Esquire, and Harper's BAZAAR. Plastic-free, aluminum-free, and gender-free, The Deodorant Balm instantly resonated with those looking for a natural deodorant that genuinely worked. Five fragrances and over 700,000 happy armpits later, The Deodorant Balm is already becoming a household name. To this day, every new AKT product is put through its paces by London's hard-working theatre community to ensure it lives up to the high standards of its founders. As a rule, AKT's products don't break character — ever. It's this effectiveness that has propelled AKT from the backstage to bathroom cabinets, bedside tables, duffel bags, and carry-on luggage worldwide. And the good news is — the performance is just getting started. About The Role AKT London was born from the minds of two professional actors who were tired of skincare products that couldn’t keep up with the demands of the stage. We don’t just offer premium, high-performance deodorant; we provide the essential "costume" for the skin. Our formulas are designed to perform under pressure, keep you fresh, and allow you to command any room with confidence. We are currently seeking part-time cast members to represent the AKT brand in local retail locations. In this opportunity through a third-party agency, representatives will bring the AKT story to life in-store by introducing customers to the brand and sharing product knowledge to help them discover their perfect match. Role Responsibilities - Script Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of the AKT London range. You will be expected to articulate our brand story, ingredient integrity, and high-performance benefits with precision and clarity. - Audience Engagement: Drive sales by proactively approaching customers, offering expert product consultations, and effectively addressing individual skin care needs. - Stage Management: Maintain our retail display space to the highest standard. You will ensure the "stage" is always clean, well-stocked, and visually aligned with the AKT London aesthetic. - Performance Reporting: Serve as our eyes and ears on the floor. Provide consistent, actionable feedback on customer sentiment, stock levels, and store traffic following each shift. - Brand Advocacy: Embody the brand’s ethos of "High Performance" by maintaining a professional, high-energy presence throughout your shift.

Job Requirements

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in luxury beauty, wellness, or premium retail sales.
  • Communication Skills: A natural ability to connect with people, handle objections with grace, and tell a compelling brand story.
  • Reliability: As a contributor in the retail locations, you are a crucial part of our operation. Punctuality and consistent communication are non-negotiable.
  • Product Passion: A genuine interest in clean beauty, sustainability, and personal care.
  • Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and maintain a high level of engagement even during slower hours.

Benefits

  • Backstage Perks
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Flexibility: A schedule that respects your time and other professional commitments.
  • Brand Access: Exclusive training, product samples, and the opportunity to grow with a brand that values creativity and high-performance living.
  • Everybody Is Welcome
  • AKT London is for everyone. We believe that an inclusive work environment and a diverse, empowered team are key to achieving our mission. Our products are gender free and built for every BODY to help give them the confidence to step onto their stage – whatever that may be – and PERFORM. Our work environment is no different.
  • We do not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. We commit to a focused and sustained action to dismantle racist systems, policies, practices, and ideologies within ourselves and our networks. We have zero tolerance for intolerance. With our Founders belonging to a minority community, we commit to difference and diversity from the beginning, and we know what a rich and creative work environment can cultivate.
