Lead Engineer – Simulation Assisted Engineering

• Lead Engineer - Simulation Assisted Engineering (SAE) works within the Plant Integration Engineering team • Collaborate in cross-functional environment of; Systems, Instrumentation & Controls, and Human Factors Engineering • Lead SAE discrepancy resolution process • Ensure compliance with ANS-3.5-2009 • Act as a liaison between Training and SAE for scoping hardware that meets training objectives • Maintain, support, and develop solutions for VM implementation in the SAE environment • Assist in maintaining a singular master plant simulation model in SAE environment • Develop and edit system models in an integrated simulation environment • Develop and run scenarios for single systems, interrelated systems, or entire power plant for various modes of operations • Collaborate with simulation software supplier to prepare plans, procedures, reports, and perform factory and site acceptance tests

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Systems, Software, Computer Science or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or equivalent 4-year technical degree
  • 5 years of experience in simulation using modern physics, mathematics, and software-based modeling tools
  • 5 years of experience as a SRO Certified or Licensed Operations Training Instructor at a commercial nuclear facility
  • Regulatory exam author experience at a commercial nuclear facility (desired)
  • Experience coordinating testing, deficiency resolution, configuration control, and ANSI certification in a multi-simulator environment at a commercial nuclear facility (desired)
  • Experience with simulator regulatory inspections (desired)
  • Knowledge of common computer languages (C#, C++, etc.) and software development tools (desired)
  • Experience in software development (desired)
  • Master of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Systems, Software, Computer Science or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (desired)
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ANS-3.5-2009 Nuclear Power Plant simulators for use in operator training and examination (desired)
