We build secure Software Factories based on DoD reference designs and NIST Frameworks for Cloud and DevSecOps. These factories deliver AI/ML Applications, Data Science Platforms, Blockchain and Microservices for DoD, Healthcare and Civilian Agencies Job Summary: The Chief Architect to serve as the Government’s primary architectural authority for the WDP program. This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and governing the enterprise and solution architecture baseline for the platform, ensuring architectural consistency, alignment with Government-approved objectives, and controlled evolution of the environment. The Chief Architect will lead architecture decision support activities, coordinate across Government stakeholders, technical teams, and integration partners, and ensure that proposed solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and approved governance processes. This position is focused on architecture definition, governance, and decision enablement, rather than hands-on system implementation or operational execution. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the named Chief Architect and primary architectural authority supporting the Government for the WDP program. - Establish, maintain, and govern the enterprise and solution architecture baseline across the platform. - Ensure architectural consistency and traceability to Government-approved mission objectives, standards, and modernization goals. - Lead architectural decision support activities and provide recommendations to support informed Government decision-making. - Coordinate with stakeholders, engineering teams, integration partners, and governance bodies to align architecture across program components. - Evaluate proposed technical solutions for alignment with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and governance processes. - Apply DoD or Federal architecture frameworks, such as DoDAF or equivalent, to support architecture development, governance, and traceability. - Support architectural governance reviews, technical review boards, and related forums to ensure controlled platform evolution. - Guide architectural alignment across heterogeneous, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, including commercial cloud providers and on-premises ecosystems. - Promote consistency in security, data, and platform standards across federated or distributed environments. - Provide architectural leadership in support of platform modernization, data, analytics, and AI-related initiatives where applicable. - Engage with vendors, industry partners, and open-source communities to inform architecture strategy and emerging technology considerations. Required Skills: Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing enterprise, system, or solution architecture roles for programs of comparable size, scope, and complexity. - Experience establishing and governing architecture across heterogeneous and multi-cloud environments, including multiple commercial cloud service providers, on-premises, and hybrid ecosystems. - Experience applying DoD or Federal architecture frameworks such as DoDAF or equivalent to support architecture governance and traceability. Required Qualifications: - Must possess an active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility in accordance with applicable contract requirements. - Demonstrated ability to define, govern, and evolve enterprise and solution architecture baselines for complex Government platforms. - Strong ability to coordinate across stakeholders and integration partners to drive architectural alignment and governance compliance. - Strong understanding of enterprise standards, security requirements, and architecture governance processes in DoD or Federal environments.
