• Build and maintain services and tooling that automate the network lifecycle: day-0 provisioning, day-N changes, drift detection, and operational verification • Make network changes safe and transparent: CI/CD workflows, diff/review tooling, staged rollouts/rollbacks, audit trails, and guardrails • Develop observability systems that scale across many sites: telemetry pipelines, signal quality, and tooling that shortens incident investigations • Close “last mile” gaps between the network and the platform: integrate source-of-truth data, expose APIs, and build reliable automation around it • Collaborate closely with network engineers and SREs to turn real operational pain into product-quality tooling

• Building a distributed, fault-tolerant storage system for Nebius’ hyperscaler cloud. • Working on high-performance block and filesystem storage that delivers sub-millisecond latency, millions of IOPS and terabytes per second of throughput, even in the face of hardware failures. • Virtualization: virtio-blk and virtio-fs, QEMU and vhost-user, performance-critical I/O paths. • Networking: high-throughput VM-to-storage transport over TCP and RoCEv2 (RDMA). • Storage systems: replication, consensus, self-healing, and data migration.

• Build the software underpinning the mission-critical Confluent Cloud network data plane platform. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing and operationalizing high performance, scalable, reliable and resilient systems. • Independently drive execution of software projects to deliver complex projects in production with a focus on quality. • Build upon open source software to deliver business impact. • Troubleshoot issues and improve ops for complex technical stack that spans all the 3 clouds and includes microservices, containers, and virtualization.

• Architect and evolve systems that operate real-world infrastructure across both product development and client-facing deployments • Review and guide code across engineers at all experience levels • Pair with engineers to solve complex implementation challenges • Support client engagements alongside the engineering team when technical tradeoffs matter and help translate requirements into durable solutions • Decide when to build, when to adapt, and when to say no • Incorporate data, analytics, and ML where it improves reliability and operations • Translate business needs into technical approaches engineers respect • Help grow engineers into senior and staff-level decision makers while ensuring solutions work in both product and client delivery environments • This is a hands-on engineering role. You will spend meaningful time in code.
