Background Details As the AVP - Operations Experience & Execution, you will provide direction and functional expertise for elevating operational performance, strengthening end‑to‑end experience for employees, brokers, employers, and members. You will ensure their assigned business area operates with discipline, insight, and customer‑centric execution. What you'll be doing Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence - You will lead the execution of strategic, operational, and enterprise priorities that improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes for their business area. - You will modernize and simplify processes through digital enablement, automation, and data‑driven insights. - You will ensure operational capabilities scale to meet regulatory, market, and business needs. - You will oversee the design and governance of efficient workflows, controls, and operating models. Experience Management - You will lead a successful design and deliver of business area operations employee engagement and customer satisfaction programs. - You will lead assigned business area operations CARE team(s). Centralized Operations Governance & Insights - You will govern operational executive dashboards, including leading development of metrics to define customer service experience, measurement, monitoring, and reporting. - You will lead prioritization of projects in portfolio and coordination/execution to deliver desired strategic business outcomes. - You will develop business continuity planning and implement governance steps to ensure adherence. Customer & Stakeholder Experience - You will champion customer‑centricity across all business area operational processes and touchpoints. - You will lead initiatives that reduce friction and enhance lifecycle service consistency. - You will oversee issue escalation and resolution for assigned department/business area(s) Performance Management, Quality & Insights - You will oversee development & execution of quality control initiatives and/or solutions to ensure audit readiness, remediate issues, and drive continuous improvement. Talent Leadership & Organizational Development - You will build high‑performing teams and foster an inclusive culture of ownership and accountability. - You will drive talent development in support of both individual career growth and organizational succession planning. Cross‑Functional Partnership & Enterprise Collaboration - You will collaborate closely with peer AVPs and other business leaders across Group Protection to ensure best practices and operational needs are being met. - You will influence enterprise priorities through data‑informed recommendations. What we’re looking for Must-have experience (Required): - 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's). - 10+ Years of service and/or business operations experience directly aligned to the specific duties for this role, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience. - Group Protection industry experience. - Ability to think critically, analyze information, evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution, and to make decisions under pressure. - Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal/external stakeholders with proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. - Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-have experience (Preferred): - Strong service/operations acumen on customer landscape/experience with the ability to evaluate our operational processes to provide competitive insight and opportunities. - Experience partnering or working with a PEO. - Project management, process efficiency and change management skills/experience. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.
